The Book of Lost Things

This week I read the Book of Lost things by John Connolly. This book is about a not named David who loves to Read. David lives in WWII England, and before the war begins his mother dies. He is grieving, and his father begins seeing another woman named Rose. David's new family moves to a home in the country, where a mysterious Crooked Man begins to appear. David is pulled into a magical world and becomes trapped there. This book was crazy and a little disturbing. It was really interesting, and I would recommend it to people who like fairy tale adaptations. It was written before those types of stories became popular though, and the writing is very good. I would suggest reading this to anyone in the class.
