The Woman Warrior

This week I read The Woman Warrior, by Maxine Hong Kingston. This book is a memoir about a girl who emigrates from China as a small child. It is told through stories of famous female chinese warriors, and it is super cool. I normally don't like memoirs, but this one was really cool. I really enjoyed this book. I would suggest it for anyone in our class, although it can be quite graphic sometimes. Overall, this is a good but intense read.
