Slaughterhouse Five

Slaughterhouse Five is about a soldier in World War Two named Billy Pilgrim. Billy Pilgrim comes unstuck in time, and flashes forward and back, and is aware of absolutely everything that goes on around him, including his birth, his death, and his abduction by Tralfamadorians. This book is mainly about the fire bombing of Dresden, and Billy's story of escaping it. This book is amazing. The writing is really weird and beautiful, somewhat reminiscent of how George Saunders writes. This book is pretty adult, about five out of ten. Be aware of the depressingness of this book before you read it; it seems to quietly make you very, very sad.
