8/31

Today I had Play Practice from twelve to three. It is tech week, so we are practicing with lighting and everything, and the stagecraft people are learning how the set actually works. This means that the people who are in the play have to redo things again and again, and everyone is getting frustrated. It is also boring to wait for a long time. Also,  the email sent to all cast and crew said to bring money for pizza, or bring a sack lunch, when apparently, pizza is only for crew and cast should have already eaten lunch. So not only was I frustrated and bored, I was also hungry for three hours. I am just saying that organizational skills are a failure in the drama department.

I believe that before every play, David and whoever else is involved should get together two specific lists of parents emails, and use those as a list of who to email. It isn't that hard, although from all of the crap everyone is getting, it feels like it is the most challenging thing in the world.

One of David's biggest complaints is that dinner might not be provided every night because we don't have enough parent participation. Of course we don't have enough parent participation! None of the cast's parents have enough patience to deal with the "faulty email" that supposedly causes all of these problems. Anyway, please enjoy this years production of A Year with Frog and Toad and please appreciate the *extreme joy* that has been put into it.
Yours Truly,
-Mother Frog

  1. Great ranting blog about the frustrations that go along with stuff not really related to the production. I hope you spent the rest of the weekend less hungry and more happy. I am looking forward to the musical!
