The world sometimes has things in it that make you want to scream and cry. But we ignore them, making them fall away, or build, until when we do scream and cry; it is humiliating and awful, because we held it in. When we do not hold it in, it is all of the time, like a toddler does, easily upset and easily consoled. So you see, we have to find a balance, and the thing that can keep that balance. For me, my guitar. I can play anything I want to, any time I want to, and with that, I can release the steam that has build up inside of me. I can let it go.

  1. It's a good piece of advice for anyone, to find something to hold onto to help find that balance. Nice to hear about the guitar as yours, Lydia.

  2. This happens to me all the time and I am trying to find a way to prevent myself from losing control. Like Linda said, this is great advice, so thank you.

  3. A wise post with plenty to think about for my own sake. What about creating music helps so many people? It's amazing. My harmonica is right next to the computer as I comment on blogs and I've been playing a song every couple of posts. Keep blowing off the excess steam!
